The present study investigates thermo-mechanical issues associated with the dissimilar friction stir welding process of AA6061 and AA5086 aluminum alloys through smoothed-particle hydrodynamics (SPH) simulation experimental investigations. results demonstrate that presented model accurately predicts thermal history during process. Furthermore, both data indicate when alloy is located on advancing side, temperature profile drawn towards alloy. Conversely, more symmetrical positioned retreating side.
